It has been a busy spring here at Sherwood Care, as we have been working on some exciting projects that we want to share with you:
- March: Sherwood Care’s “Dignity in Death” process was featured by the Health Quality Council (HQCA) as a hallmark of quality for LTC in Alberta. Please click HERE to see the video where Sherwood Care Team Members describe this respectful and honouring practice.
- April: Sherwood Care achieved our third, 3 year accreditation with CARF (TM) Canada. Accreditation is a seal of quality in meeting international best practice guidelines and assists us towards our strategic goals of “Being the Best Place to Be” and “Being the Best Place to Work”.
- Sherwood Care staff and volunteers gathered to celebrate the commitment of our staff and volunteers with long service awards. Broadmoor Public Golf Course was a beautiful setting for dinner, awards and great music by the “Pluck n’ Holler Boys”.
- May: Our committed and enthusiastic Volunteer Board hosted our annual yard sale and were delighted to raise over $2500 towards specialized programming for our residents.
