Sherwood Care has diligently monitored the ever changing COVID-19 crisis in Alberta over the past week. Based on the enhanced screening guidelines provided by Alberta Health Services, Sherwood Care has made the difficult decision to close our doors to family members, companions, and all visitors as of 8:00 am, Tuesday, March 24.
We understand how difficult this is for all of our families and we are taking the steps to put in place alternate ways of staying connected with loved ones during this time period. If any family members would like the option of virtually connecting with their loved ones through FaceTime, Skype, etc., we ask that you please call the Main Office or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request this service. We will then get in touch with you to schedule a time for you and your loved one to chat.
We want to assure you that at Sherwood Care, we will deploy all necessary resources in the building to ensure that the residents continue to receive the quality of care that families expect. We know that this will not replace the love and attention our families and companions provide, but we can assure you that the utmost care will be given by our staff.
The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, and so we ask that you keep up to date through our social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and website.
Thank you again for your cooperation in this difficult time, as we strive to ensure the health and safety of our residents.
